One way you may like to use these materials:
After reading an excerpt from this book (I like to read The Prologue through to page 14, but choose whatever you like), you can discuss Storyboarding & Story Structure (use your own materials, or purchase my FULL LESSON PLAN*--FULLY SCRIPTED with enough content to teach for 90 minutes, for the way I teach Storyboarding & Story Structure), then distribute this Printable Writing Worksheet, Activity Sheet, Comic Strip Storyboard and Story Mountain Planner. Have your students select their favorite Writing Choice from the Worksheet (no dry prompts!), allowing them at least twenty minutes to Draw/Write their stories. Sharing time is next, with students reading aloud from their stories, and walking the class through their drawings. *My FULL LESSON PLAN is available on this website.
