Fearless Dragon Writers' Writing Worksheet: "The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs!" by Jon Scieszka (with Bonus Activity Sheet)
This is a Fearless Dragon Writers' Writing Worksheet for the book: "The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs!" by author Jon Scieszka. Also included here is my Bonus Activity Sheet (A "Wanted Poster" for the Wolf!) that ties into this charming children's book.
This Worksheet is at the heart of my Jon Scieszka/"The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs!"/Fractured Fairy Tale Lesson Plan Bundle for this wonderful book.
After reading Jon Scieszka's "The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs!" to your class and discussing Fractured Fairy Tales, distribute this Printable Worksheet and have your students select their favorite Writing Choice from the Worksheet. Have them write a short story based on that Writing Choice (prompt), allowing them at least twenty minutes to write. (This book is also a wonderful mentor text to teach Perspective in writing as the story is told from the wolf's point-of-view.)
Note: There is much more valuable content in my FULL Lesson Plan on how to teach a Fractured Fairy Tale and Perspective in writing--and that is available on my website as well!
Have FUN with these writing materials!
(Target audience: ages 8 - 12.)
